Four security guards from CSC Event Management didn't want Georgia football players to speak to the media Sunday night outside the Butts-Mehre building who were seeking comment after the dismissal that day of Mark Richt.

He coached and recruited them to the program.

The men escorted players to the cars after reporters--including TV news crews--refused to go across the street as they were instructed to, but some--they were defensive players--wanted to speak their minds after they met with Richt and other assistant coaches for the first time since the coaching change.

"It ain't right," senior outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins said. "Ain't no Georgia football without Coach Richt. Just for what he's done for everybody up here and the way it went down. It just don't sit right."

Jenkins said players are to meet with athletic director Greg McGarity on Monday.

"It's just messed up," Jenkins said. "It's jacked up. Not everyone on the team is sitting right."

A security guard then interrupted Jenkins who was getting in his car.

"It's just not sitting right with us," he said. "We'll find out more stuff tomorrow. All I've got to say is they lost a great man."

Players began trickling out 15 minutes after the meeting was scheduled to begin. Some, including the outside linebackers, were the last out of the building following another 15 minutes or so.

A couple made a point to tell reporters their feelings about second-year defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

"We want Pruitt man," outside linebacker Davin Bellamy said. "We want Pruitt, we want Pruitt."

Quarterback Greyson Lambert, who walked out the building with quarterback Brice Ramsey, didn't want to talk.

Others said before the meeting they would be willing to talk after they heard from Richt, but the security guards tried to make sure that didn't happen.
